Description
Sisters of Mersey'Sisters of Mersey', 1886. Sir E Watkin had proposed a scheme for a Channel Tunnel but this had not been accepted. This cartoon illustrates the newly constructed Mersey Tunnel that connected Liverpool and Birkenhead. It was formally opened by the Prince of Wales on 20th January 1886. It had been started in 1869. From Punch, or the London Charivari, January 30, 1886.

read the fine print

I really need to learn to read the small print. That pocket line on the chest turned out to be a fake pocket and the actual; zipper on the sleeve is also a fake pocket; my bad but in my defense I'd never dreamed that anyone would put either on a shirt. Also my search term was men's "cotton shirt w/ pocket shirt" and it brought up this polyester wonder. But at least it fits well and seems well made.
